Pepa is the favorite in her local bar as well, effectively became the selling point of it. On top of that, she's still quite athletic as well. Sometimes she would play Panna (A 1v1 football game) to entertain the locals, recalling her professional days in FC Barcelona.She used to be a professional women football player who plays for FC Barcelona Femení, with a phenomenal yet short-lived career. Playing as a right wing striker (RW), it was always a joy to watch her play, being the first woman to embody the meaning of Joga Bonito; The Beautiful Game.However, her career ends prematurely due to a series of tragedy. Underperformed during the Superliga season of 2006/2007, she was regarded as the main reason of why FC Barcelona Femení relegated that year. That same year, her father died; which sent her into depression, the main reason why she was underperformed to begin with. The next year, she gets pregnant, which results in a breach of contract. With no money, her boyfriend physically abuses her, which results in miscarriage.Thankfully, her mother reached her in just the right time. Nowadays, she lived her life happily as a single girl working days to days as a waitress in San Juan.

It's quite fitting that her nickname is Pepa, which in Puerto Rico it sounds like a cookie with jelly. Her smile alone is capable of radiating so much positive energy that others would smile as well, regardless of their current struggle.It's because of that, why the local bar where she works never ran out of customers. Most of them, if not all of them, came just to see Pepa working. Her appearance might be the reason why people came, but her personality is what made people stay in the bar.

It's where her father lives; her mother, in the other hand, was already divorced and moved to her home country, Puerto Rico. Her love of football sends her afar; she would crush others, even boys, during a football game. It's what intrigued the scouters at FC Barcelona to scout her to begin with, and emerged her career as a professional women football player at 18 years old, around the year of 2003.In FC Barcelona Femení, Pepa plays as a right wing striker (RW); entrusted with the number 10 after the previous player with the same number retired. Pepa began her career with a phenomenal debut, scoring one hattrick and one assist against Rayo Vallecano. While Pepa is capable of brilliant dribbling, shaking opponent's defender; what's really great about her is that she possesses an excellent first touch, similar to that of Dennis Bergkamp.However, good times must come to an end; and unfortunately, her magical season only lasts for few seasons in Primera División Femenina (Back then it was called Superliga). Her wages, however little it is, was used to support unhealthy lifestyle; clubbing was one of them, and the other was to fund her boyfriend's lifestyle. Meanwhile, expectations started to rise exponentially since she debuted around the same year Messi did; while getting less support since less money was circulating in the women division.It climaxed during the 2006/2007 season of Superliga. It was the year when her father died, and at that time she was only 21 years old. On top of the raising expectations, she fell into depression. Underperformed, she was regarded as the main reason why FC Barcelona Femení relegated that year. Less and less support came for her, and by the next year, Pepa was pregnant. Due to this, she had committed a breach of contract, hence FC Barcelona terminated it. With no more money, her boyfriend started to become abusive towards her, which later results into her miscarriage. Furthermore, it was such a horrible fate on top of horrible fates; after her early retirement, FC Barcelona Femení began to rose and won trophies; while she ends her career winning nothing.Thinking of ending it all, Pepa got a call from her mother. Her mother was worried because Pepa was missing from the news for a whole year. It turns out, her mother and the locals of Puerto Rico used to cheer for her every time she plays. She was the hero of Puerto Rico, because back then only a select number of people were capable enough to play football professionally overseas, much less playing for FC Barcelona; one of the best club in the world. After telling her story to her mother, she decided to move to Puerto Rico.There, her life might have been less luxurious compared to her time in Barcelona. Moving from one job to the other, depending on the locals, since she got no formal education. And yet, she finally found her smile again. She might have went under the radar as a professional footballer, but in Puerto Rico, she was something else.
